OVAL & OCTAGONAL TYPES

These basic shapes are used in pressure up to 10000 psi. Dimensions are standardized and require specially grooved flanges. The octagonal cross section has a higher sealing efficiency than the oval. Oval types are used with round bottom groove. The sealing surfaces must have a smooth finish to 63 micro inches. The hardness of the ring should be less than the hardness of the flanges to prevent deformation.
Dimensions are covered in ASME B 16.20 AND API 6A Delmon Stock a wide range of sizes and materials size ranging from R11 TO R 105.

Range of Materials: SS316, SS304, SOFT IRON, LOW CARBON STEEL, INC 625, INC 825, SS410, SS310, F5, F51 & DUPLEX.

RX TYPE RING JOINT GASKETS

Similar in shape to STD Octagonal RTJ but their cross section is designed to meet high fluid pressure in effecting a seal. Both are made to API 6A and interchangeable with standard octagonal rings for oil field drilling and production applications in API 6B flanges.
RX is used at pressures up to 15,000 psi.

BX TYPE RING JOINT GASKETS

The BX ring gasket differs from the standard oval and octagonal shape since it is square in cross section and tapers in each corner. They can only be used in API 6BX flanges.
BX is used ate pressures up to 15,000 psi.
